Hospital Blogging

So … it all began on my wonderful anniversary … with gas and bloating.

Leading to nausea, fever, chills, etc …

Leading to a tentative diagnosis of food poisoning from my primary care doctor.

BUT … the pain, and etc. did not subside, it got worse … so it was a trip to the emergency room, last night.

Leading to a weekend stay in the hospital.
I have pancreatitis.  A terrible horrifyingly painful disease that has kept me away from my computer since Thursday and likely will for the remainder of the weekend.  Prayers would of course, be appreciated.

    Unfortunately I know all too well what you are going through. I had pancreatitis a few years ago and ending up spending 9 days in the hospital. I did fully recover however, although the memory of the pain is still vivid. At one point I was getting a morphine every two hours (even so the relief would usually end less then an hour after each does).

    All this to say that you will be in my prayers. I wish you a speedy recovery and an increasingly low fat diet : ) At least that’s what my doctors made me undertake.

    I am so sorry, that sounds like loads of fun (can you hear my sarcasm?) Praying for you.

    If they are giving you morphine and it’s not working well, see if you can get Dilaudid. That’s what they gave my Dad during his kidney stones, and he says it’s way more helpful than morphine.
