Hello world!

Here it is … my own blog, hosted on my own URL. Slick. Now I have a lot of homework to do while the kids do their homework to figure out how to make it look like me, and figure out blog-rolling. and all that other stuff. I need to get up to speed. Up to snuff as it were. Hit the ground running. I want to make the switch from my “old” place to the new by the new year. We’ll see.
